A Midsummer Night’s Dream

ATLANTIC CITY – The Atlantic City Ballet will be kicking off its spring 2022 season with a performance of “A Midsummer Night’s Dream,” 7 p.m. March 26 at Circus Maximus Theater at Caesar’s Atlantic City.

Based on William Shakespeare’s comedy, the ballet is about the romantic adventures and misadventures of two pairs of mortal lovers and the king and queen of the fairies.

Next up in April is Artistic Director Phyllis Papa’s “Carmen,” featuring Papa’s original, breathtaking choreography and an enthralling score by Georges Bizet. The ballet will be performed 7 p.m. April 23.

Carmen

Carmen tells the story of a beautiful seductress, the two lovers who vie for her affection and the tragic outcome of their tangled affair.

Cinderella

Finally in May, the ballet will present “Cinderella,” 7 p.m. May 21. AC Ballet’s Cinderella will vividly delight audiences with Papa’s captivating choreography and magnificent costumes. Complete with a fairy godmother, a handsome prince and a pair of unforgettable stepsisters, the production is a must see and a delight for all ages.

Tickets are $45 for adults, $20 for children and students 17 and younger. Senior citizens receive a 15% discount. Atlantic City residents can also receive a 15% discount if they purchase tickets at the Circus Maximus Box Office at Caesar’s.

Founded in 1982, by international ballerina Phyllis Papa, the Atlantic City Ballet is comprised of professional dancers from around the world and have earned national acclaim for their technical expertise and exuberant stage presence.

Although its home base is the historic Jim Whelan Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, the ballet has performed in theaters all along the east coast and just recently returned from its first west coast tour.
