Ventnor City Firefighter Bruno Migioia starts his public safety career by taking the oath of office.

VENTNOR – The Mayor and Board of Commissioners Thursday, approved resolutions providing two police officers with promotions to higher ranks and hiring a new firefighter.

Commissioner of Public Safety Tim Kriebel administered the oaths of office to the three public safety officers who were surrounded by family members.

The Police Department promoted Patrick Hiltner and Bryan Gaviria to the rank of lieutenant.

Hiltner has been with the Ventnor Police Department since 2007 and was promoted to sergeant in January 2018. He is currently assigned as a Patrol Division shift commander.

Gaviria was hired as a police officer in Ventnor in 2012 and was was promoted to the rank of sergeant in April 2019. He also is a currently assigned to Patrol as a shift commander.

Gaviria is the grandson-in-law of Margate Mayor Michael Becker and his wife Mary, who attended the swearing-in ceremony.

Kriebel also swore-in new Firefighter Bruno Migioia.
