Ventnor City firefighters paint and replace ceiling tiles at the Community Room at the Ventnor Library.

VENTNOR – The Ventnor City Community Room at the rear of the library building on Newport Avenue got a makeover last weekend thanks to firefighters of the Ventnor City Fire Department.

Members of the Ventnor City Firefighters Mutual Benevolent Association provided the funding and muscle to spruce up the Community Room where senior citizens enjoy weekday lunches and activities.

Firefighters volunteered their time to paint the room and replace ceiling tiles turning drab and dingy into clean and bright, with a little artwork thrown in for good measure.

According to volunteers, the room was overdue for a facelift and the firefighters were happy to improve the room for the enjoyment of the community’s senior population.
