Salute to the chief…Margate Police Chief Matthew Hankinson.
MARGATE – The Margate City Police Department will host its annual Law Day event, 6:30-8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 10 in the parking lot behind the Margate City Public Library, 8100 Atlantic Ave.
The free event features an opportunity to meet the city’s men and women in blue, along with activities for the whole family, including bicycle registrations and safety, child safety seat installations and checks, face painting, hot dogs and water ice.
The Atlantic County Humane Society will be onsite to provide information about chipping your pets, and information about outreach programs in Atlantic County will be shared. Children will have the opportunity to check out various police vehicles and cruisers.
