The Longport Public Library is continuing its lineup of free matinees in the new year. Matinees are held at 2 p.m. and include popcorn, of course.

The lineup of blockbuster movies starts with a screening of “The Banshees of Inisherin,”  Thursday, Jan. 5. It’s a story of two men coming to the end of their longtime friendship. It stars Colin Farrell and Brendan Gleeson.

On Friday, Jan. 13, the matinee features “Tar,” with Cate Blanchett as Maestro Lydia Tar, the first female conductor of a German orchestra.

And on Feb. 10, the library will be showing “The Menu,” a story about a couple that travels to a remote locale to enjoy a special dinner. It stars Ralph Fiennes and Anya Taylor-Joy.

Learn more and register by calling the library at 609-487-7403.
