COURTESY MARGATE FIRE DEPT./Hundreds of children attended the Margate Easter Egg Hunt, Sunday, April 2, 2023

MARGATE – Sunday was a fun day for children of the community. The annual Margate Community Easter Egg Hunt, postponed a day due to inclement weather on Saturday, was held at Firehouse No. 2 on N. Brunswick Drive. The weather was perfect, sunny and bright, and a little breezy.

The event, sponsored by the Margate Mothers Association and the city, was extremely well attended. Children in four different age groups made their mad dashs to retrieve more than 2,000 Easter eggs filled with candy. Prizes were awarded to children ages 0-4, 5-6, 7-8 and 9 and over.

The children enjoyed some food and fun, and had a meet and greet with the Easter Bunny. A flower market was held to raise funds for the Mothers Association.
