Offering a lovely retro style interior, welcoming staff, and providing a great deal of fun for everyone, this bowling favourite is hard to fault. Also serving up delicious grub, you’ll probably need to book before you go given Bugsy’s Tenpin Bowling’s reputation in the area. It’s certainly a popular spot.
Hartsdown Leisure Centre
Despite its rather tired look from the outside, Hartsdown Leisure Centre has been a well-liked location for a few years now. Offering swimming for all ages, this warm and welcoming leisure centre is one of the prime locations for a swim, especially for people who aren’t keen on dipping their toes in the sea. Hartsdown Leisure Centre isn’t perfect by any stretch, but it’s the ideal place to cool down during the hot summer months.
Lost Island Adventure Golf
Even if you aren’t a scratch golfer, Lost Island Adventure Golf is a great activity to enjoy. With themed holes to captivate your imagination and screens showing the scores for you as you advance through the course, this monkey-filled adventure golf offering is one of the best things to do if the weather isn’t suitable for some beach fun. Also fairly cheap in price compared to many crazy golf courses, Lost Island Adventure Golf is one of Margate’s very best.
CTRL ALT ESC

People adore escape rooms in the modern environment. An opportunity to put your detective skills to the test and unravel a mystery, CTRL ALT ESC is one of Margate’s favourite escape rooms. Also providing plenty of comical value as you work in a team to get to the very end, this excellent venue is home to a variety of themed rooms, such as Ye Olde Lock Inn and even Christmas-themed options during the festive period. CTRL ALT ESC is a fantastic option if you have a spare couple of hours or so. The Escapement, another much-loved escape room in Margate, also deserves a mention.
