Financial literacy program at the Boys & Girls Club of Atlantic City.

The TD Charitable Foundation awarded a $25,000 grant for the Boys & Girls Club of Atlantic City Money Matters: Make It Count program. The program is dedicated to teaching vital financial skills to teenagers ages 13-18, empowering them to make informed decisions about money management.

“The financial decisions that young people make today will shape their futures,” Boys and Girls Club CEO Charles A. Wallace II said. “With the support of TD Charitable Foundation, our club can continue to provide valuable mentorship and resources to equip youth with the tools they need for financial success.”

Money Matters: Make It Count has been a cornerstone program for nearly two decades, guiding teens through goal setting, budgeting, saving and investing. In addition to informative sessions led by staff, participants engage with interactive digital tools and games designed to reinforce financial literacy concepts. The program’s effectiveness is evidenced by the improved financial management skills demonstrated by its graduates, including enhanced saving habits and budget adherence.

“TD is committed to supporting initiatives that enhance financial literacy and empower individuals to build brighter and more secure financial futures,” TD Bank Regional President Rob Curley said. “We are proud to support the Boys & Girls Club of Atlantic City and their contributions to the development of vital life skills among the youth in our communities.”
