LONGPORT – Due to the COVID-19 crisis, the Herb Stern Longport Scholarship Fund has extended its deadline for submitting applications to Friday, May 1.

​However, applications may no longer be submitted to Borough Hall. Paper applications may still be delivered to the mailbox at 16 S. 33rd Ave., Longport, or email applications to sternherb@gmail.com.

Longport students who are graduating high school this year or who are currently in college are eligible to apply. The fund will award $17,500 in scholarships this year.

​Last year’s recipients were Raquel and Sophia Grisham, Ethan, Owen and Wyatt Kramer, Christian and Kallisa Kuhn, Georgina McGuckin, Michael O’Leary, Thomas Rafter, Tanner Tomassi, Nalu Tripician and Natalie Viso.
