Shred and recycle important documents.

VENTNOR – A little spring cleaning includes discarding unwanted confidential papers and documents, some of which could contain sensitive personal information. Residents will have the opportunity to safely dispose of unwanted personal documents during the annual “Shredding Event” being held 10 a.m. to noon, Saturday, April 24 at the gazebo on Newport Avenue at the beach.

To maintain social distancing protocols, residents can pull up to the shredding truck and a worker will unload your vehicle. Be sure to remove all metal clips and plastic pieces.

The shredding event provides a safe way to dispose of papers that could contain sensitive personal information, such as Social Security numbers, and old tax records. All shredded papers will be properly recycled by the shredding company.

For the public’s convenience, the city will also have 2021 beach badges available for sale.

For more information, call the Special Events Department at 609-823-7919.
