Any potential candidate must be available to work five days a week during that period. The OCBP tryout is competitive and includes ocean swimming, running, rowing, a surf dash and an interview. Successful candidates will be eligible to return to the patrol for the 2022 season if they meet requalification standards.

The one-day tryout is scheduled to start at 9 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 15, 2021. Please read the following information and obtain a physical from a licensed physician prior to the tryout.
