Longport beach tags for the 2022 season were designed by Luna Catanese (left) and Ella Clark.

LONGPORT – Beach tags go on sale Monday, April 18 during normal business hours at Longport Borough Hall, 2305 Atlantic Ave. The last day to purchase tags at the pre-season rate of $15 for seasonal tags and $5 for senior tags is June 17. After that, the price goes up to $30/$10.

Two youngsters were credited with designing the tags, which are required to use the beach.

Luna Catanese designed the seasonal tag with her design featuring a surfboard, lifeboat, blue ocean and a fluffy cumulus cloud. Ella Clark designed the senior tag which includes sunshine and shore birds on the beach.

Borough Hall is open 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. However, during the month of May beach tags can also be purchased 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on weekends. Starting May 28, tags can be purchased on the beach side of the Community Building located at 33rd and Atlantic avenues.
