Pixabay/Pick up a great summer read at the Longport Public Library.

LONGPORT – The Longport Public Library has two reading programs available this summer for adults and children.

The Summer Reading Program for youths kicks off 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 25 with a special mermaid craft, face painting and a balloon artist. Also featured is a Pokemon gaming event and a pizza party. Register in advance.

For adults, the Sandy Pages Book Club has selected its summer reads. Use your Longport Public Library card to request a copy of the selection and then participate in a discussion. The book club will feature discussions on the following books: “The Daughters of Yalta” by Katherine Grace Katz on June 20, “My Life in France” by Alex Prud’homme and Julia Child on July 18, “The Personal Librarian” by Marie Benedict on Aug. 15, and “The Diamond Eye” by Kate Quinn on Sept. 19.

Attendance is limited. Register in advance.
