MARGATE – A community meeting on ocean wind development will be held noon Saturday, May 20 at the Dominick A. Potena Performing Arts Center at the Eugene A. Tighe Middle School, 7804 Amherst Avenue.The communities of Brigantine, Margate and Ventnor will host the joint community meeting concerning offshore wind development. Speakers include U.S. Congressman Jeff Van Drew (R-NJ), NJ Sen. Vince Polistina (R-Atlantic), Republican Mayor Vince Sera of Brigantine, Dr. Bob Stern of Save LBI and attorney Chris Placitelle. Assemblywoman Claire Swift (R-Atlantic) will provide opening remarks.
The meeting is sponsored by the nonprofit, nonpartisan political organization Downbeach Coalition.
