Pasto Louis Strugala is sworn in as the Longport Police Department’s first chaplain.

LONGPORT – The Police Department Wednesday, Dec. 6 swore in Pastor Louis Strugala as the department’s first chaplain.

“He will offer spiritual support to officers, individuals, families and friends in times of crisis. He is not just a Police Department chaplain, but will be available to the community as well,” Police Chief Frank Culmone said.

Pastor Strugala is also chaplain for the NJ State Police, Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office and the Linwood Police Department, other law enforcement agencies and the NJ Association of Chiefs of Police.

Culmone presented him with a gold badge of the borough’s Police Department.
