Provided/North Beach Subs on a Tub dinner cruise, 2017

VENTNOR – The North Beach Ventnor Residents Association will be holding a meeting 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 18 at the Ventnor Community Center, 6500 Atlantic Ave. The meeting includes a special presentation by developer Evan Sanchez who is forwarding the Tennessee Avenue revitalization project in Atlantic City.

Sanchez will speak promptly at 10 a.m. about the Orange Loop project taking place in Atlantic City. It is called orange after the colors of the streets – Tennessee, St. James Place and New York Avenue – on the Monopoly board.

To date, the organization has helped several businesses open on long-neglected Tennessee Avenue, including Made, a chocolate bar; The Leadership Studio, run by Glory and Grace yoga; and Hayday, a coffee shop. Other planned establishments including Bourre, serving Cajun barbeque, and the Tennessee Avenue Beer Hall.

Chaired by residents Stacey Jaskol and Richard Gober, the North Beach group was formed to enhance neighborhood pride and promote the North Beach area as a great place to live, work and shop.

“Revitalization starts one street at a time,” Jaskol said. “It’s exciting to see what they are doing in neighboring Atlantic City, and considering the redevelopment going on in North Beach, our group thought this would be an interesting topic.”

Tickets for the group’s second annual Subs on a Tub sunset dinner cruise being held on Sept. 15 will be available at the meeting. Tickets are $30 with $5 of each ticket sale going to support the North Beach Scholarship Fund.
